Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias

Background

According to the Idaho Bureau of Vital Records and 健康 Statistics, Alzheimer’s disease was listed as the sixth leading cause of death in Idaho. Although Alzheimer’s disease is the most recognized, t在这里 are over 100 different types of dementias. Dementia would be the 3rd leading cause of death if all types were ranked as a group.

Since ADRD takes years to develop, t在这里 are opportunities for clinicians to help patients develop and maintain healthy lifestyle habits that could reduce their risk of ADRD or slow its progression. 事实上, studies indicate that nearly 40% of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) cases may be prevented or delayed.
